Nintendo have officially announced plans to remake several titles from the Gamecube back catalogue with added Wii controls. 2009 will see European releases for Wii editions of Pikmin 1 and 2, Mario Tennis, and Metroid Prime 1 and 2. Chibi Robo and Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat are also due for "Wii-makes" as well.
Nintendo aren't the first company to recycle Cube games for the Wii, with Capcom's motion-controlled version of Resident Evil 4 proving popular back in 2007. The company also plans to retool Resident Evil Zero for the white box as well.

However, given that the Wii is fully backwards compatible with all Gamecube games, there are some gamers expressing concern over Nintendo's current strategy, preferring them to work on original titles rather than rehashing old ones.
